Sound Level Analysis

DESCRIPTION:

A series of sound level measurements were taken at the C&S warehouse on Ferry Road in Brattleboro, to determine if the levels inside the battery charging room and the compressor machine room are above the action levels in the Occupational Noise Exposure Regulations issued by OSHA. The existing worst case was six compressors running at 100% load, while in the future up to ten such machines may be in operation. Recommendations for maximum length of exposure to the noise were made and mitigating measures to reduce the sound energy produced by the compressor were proposed.
