Sound Monitoring during CAD Cell Work on the Fairhaven Waterfront

SERVICE:

Sound Testing to Confirm Compliance with MassDEP Noise Policy

DESCRIPTION:

Tech performed continuous unattended sound monitoring at a residential property near the dredging and confined-aquatic-disposal (CAD) cell operations along the Fairhaven/ New Bedford waterfront over a three-month period in the summer of 2013. The objective was to provide the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center twice-weekly technical memoranda summarizing the results of noise compliance assessment based on the most recent measured L90 sound levels and comparing them to background (L90) sound levels measured in May 2013. The reports confirmed that dredging operations remained in compliance with the Noise Policy night and day.
