DESCRIPTION:

Tech was asked by Aggregate Industries (AI) to determine if the installation of a new crusher at their Saugus facility would comply with the 24-hour and National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for PM2.5. The new crusher would be the same size as the one it would be replacing, but in order to determine if it would remain in compliance, Tech conducted a screening air dispersion modeling analysis. The results of the screening modeling analysis revealed that the crusher would not meet the NAAQS for PM2.5. At that time, AI decided not to change out the existing crusher.
