DESCRIPTION:

First Wind is building the 150-MW Oakfield Wind Project, consisting of 50 V112 3.0-MW wind turbines and has filed for a permit from Maine DEP under Maine's Site Location of Development (SLOD) Regulations. The project is located downeast in Aroostock County. Tech was retained by Maine DEP to perform an independent peer review of the application with regard to acoustic impacts.

Tech reviewed the project consultant's noise study including Cadna\A acoustic modeling, attended meetings and a public hearing, provided written responses to public comments, reviewed the proposed compliance test protocol and issued a report with Tech's peer review findings.
