Shelburne Verizon Wireless Communications Facility

SERVICE:

Noise Analysis for a Verizon Wireless Facility

DESCRIPTION:

Tech Environmental performed a noise impact study of the proposed Verizon Wireless Communications Facility, demonstrating compliance with the Town of Shelburne Noise Ordinance. An acoustic model was used to predict sound levels in the urban area, accounting for terrain features and reflective surfaces of nearby structures.

The acoustic model was first used to define necessary setback distances to the property line for all directions around the Verizon equipment shelter. This data aided to the site layout and design. The acoustic model was then used to guide design of noise barriers to ensure compliance with the Shelburne Noise Ordinance under all facility operating conditions. The results were provided to Verizon's engineers, Dubois & King, Inc.
