Odor Assessment for Office Space

DESCRIPTION:

A commercial property owner had sublet a basement office and the new tenant was experienced odors in the space. The odor was mild and intermittent; but when it was noticeable, it was persistent and noisome.

Tech Environmental was tasked with locating the odor and identifying remedies. Tech immediately noticed that at more than one half to high tide, the basement office elevation was below the harbor waterline. Tech traced the odor through a storage area to an area that was exposed to surging seawater at times.  This area was isolated, and temporary and permanent odor control solutions were recommended.
