Independent Sound Monitoring for Host Community

DESCRIPTION:

The Cohocton and Dutch Hill wind energy projects operate 35 2.5 MW wind turbines in 2008 in an agricultural area of western New York State near the Town of Cohocton. The Town of Cohocton needed an independent, third-party acoustic consultant in order to verify project compliance with the Town's noise regulations.

Tech Environmental is responsible f­or conducting periodic sound-level monitoring at ten locations throughout the project site. Tech Environmental also provides noise complaint monitoring services to the Town.
