DESCRIPTION:

An Aggregate asphalt and soil recycling plant hired Tech staff to perform a gap assessment of permits. Following the assessment Tech prepared an air plan approval submittal. An audit of site record-keeping practices was also performed at this time.

As a result of close proximity to abutters and historic permit compliance challenges, this asphalt and contaminated soils recycling operation required a site assessment. Tech staff toured the site and reviewed operations to confirm the site was operating within its permissible limits; stormwater management was effectively maintained; recycled soils and equipment logs were accurately maintained; and restrictions on hours of operations/material yields were observed.

Tech was approved for the air permit and Tech staff completed this project with a site tour to ensure that production, equipment, maintenance, and compliance monitoring logs were in place.
