Brookfield Costco Warehouse

SERVICE:

Noise Study for Proposed Warehouse Facility

DESCRIPTION:

A Costco Wholesale facility was proposed for a vacant site on Route 113 in Brookfield Connecticut, and a noise study of the proposed project was required to demonstrate compliance with the Connecticut DEP Noise Regulation and the Town of Brookfield Zoning Code.

Tech Environmental conducted a noise assessment of the proposed project to establish existing sound levels near existing homes and other receptors adjacent to the site, acoustically model future conditions with the project in operation, and to compare the operational sounds to the limits for residential areas and other land uses in the Connecticut DEP Noise Regulation and the Town of Brookfield Zoning Code.   The study concluded that proposed Costco Warehouse would not create a noise nuisance condition and would fully comply with the most stringent sound level limits in the Connecticut DEP Noise Regulation as well as well as the Town of Brookfield Noise Ordinance.
