Easthampton Stop & Shop

SERVICE:

Supermarket Air Quality and GHG Analyses

DESCRIPTION:

A new Stop & Shop store was proposed for a location in Easthampton, Massachusetts on the site of an existing golf driving range. The project required mesoscale and greenhouse gas air quality analyses to satisfy MEPA's air quality requirements.

Tech performed a mesoscale air quality analysis for volatile organic compounds (VOC) and oxides of nitrogen (NOx) in accordance with Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection's (DEP) Guidelines for Performing Mesoscale Analysis of Indirect Sources. A greenhouse gas (GHG) analysis was performed to demonstrate that the proponent will employ measures to mitigate the project's direct and indirect emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2).
