Fit Testing for Protective Equipment

DESCRIPTION:

Tech Environmental staff have provided annual fit-testing for over 300 physicians, nurses, and support staff at Lemuel Shattuck Hospital for the past 3 years. The sessions originally served to satisfy the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) tuberculosis safety standard.

Sessions are presently scheduled such that they minimize the impact on hospital schedules or operations by closely coordinating various groups, and by conducting training and fit-testing on a variety of shifts and locations.
