DESCRIPTION:

A proposed project included a 300 MW electric generating station in Bayonne, NJ and an associated cross-harbor submarine cable between Bayonne and Brooklyn.  The developer needed a sound study to support project permitting.

Tech performed baseline sound level monitoring at the site property line and at the nearest residential properties.  Using project design and sound power data, Tech performed acoustic modeling of maximum off-site sound levels during plant operation using the Cadna-A model.  A sound analysis of horizontal directional cable drilling was also performed for this project.
