Acoustic Analysis

DESCRIPTION:

A proposed mixed-use development project consisting of residential, office space, and commercial space on the banks of the Hudson River in Kingston, New York required a sound level analysis to accurately quantify project noise impacts from mechanical, traffic, and construction activities.

Tech prepared a comprehensive acoustic analysis to demonstrate that the Project would comply with the City of Kingston Noise Law.  Tech identified noise sensitive areas (NSAs) located in the vicinity of the project site and calculated future Project-generated sound levels, using representative mechanical equipment sound data and a sound propagation model.  The acoustic modeling results were compared to the City of Kingston Noise Law and it was determined that the project would be in regulatory compliance and could move forward.
