DESCRIPTION:

A luxury yacht was experiencing odor issues from an unknown source, interfering with passengers' enjoyment. The yacht's owners needed odor experts to collect samples, ascertain the source of odors, and provide solutions to the concern.

Tech performed a site visit/investigation to determine the source of the odors. Tech collected odor samples from the headspace of the wastewater tank, evaluated the effectiveness of the filters, and provided an opinion on the odor pathways. Based on this work, Tech proposed alternate odor control solutions. The results of this project were such that the yacht passengers would no longer be subject to wastewater odors while enjoying an otherwise pleasant sail.
