Southbridge Landfill

DESCRIPTION:

Casella Waste Systems needed an air quality expert to help study control technology and oversee the installation and operation of a new scrubber for the Southbridge, MA landfill. 

Tech reviewed landfill control technologies and helped troubleshoot the installation and operation of the new scrubber.  Tech engineers collected air samples and prepared emissions estimates.  Tech performed air dispersion modeling to estimate associated ambient air impacts in the vicinity of the landfill.  As part of the annual Source Registration submittal, the landfill air emissions were reviewed and calculated.  This information was submitted to MassDEP using the online eDEP program.
