Noise Monitoring to Demonstrate Compliance

DESCRIPTION:

The construction manager for Stop & Shop Supermarkets needed to perform work during the nighttime as part of the construction of a store in Northampton, Massachusetts.  Tech was asked to perform noise monitoring during four nights to demonstrate that the sound levels from the construction were complying with local requirements, so that the nighttime construction work could continue.

Tech spent a total of four nights performing nighttime noise monitoring during the construction of the store.  The extensive environmental sound monitoring data collected in this sound survey demonstrated compliance with local criteria pertaining to regulation of environmental sound levels during the nighttime construction work.
