DESCRIPTION:

The sound level effects of a new diesel-powered 20,000 cfm air compressor site and increased snow-making on Stratton Mountain was conducted. Sound levels were predicted at 13 nearby residences for the operation of the existing and proposed air compressor sites plus 90 snow guns. Future sound levels with mitigation will be the same, or less than existing levels. Thus, the project will not cause undue, adverse noise effects. Testimony was provided in public hearings before District Environmental Commission #2.
