DESCRIPTION:

Old Mother Hubbard, a dog biscuit manufacturing company with an existing facility in Lowell, MA, proposed to open a new plant in the industrial area of the redeveloped Fort Devens, now known as Devens, MA. Tech Environmental conducted air quality and odor studies for the proposed project. There was a legitimate odor concern, based on the data collected from the Lowell facility.

Tech Environmental collected and analyzed actual odor samples for odor dilution-to-thresholds (D/T), and performed dispersion modeling for the proposed facility. The project guided the design of the plant to ensure that no odors would be detected off-property during plant operation.
